# Multiowner Account

Before you can receive funds or make payments, you need to create a multi-owner account. This is your on-chain wallet on Qash, a [multi-signature account](https://www.coinbase.com/learn/wallet/what-is-a-multi-signature-multi-sig-wallet) where transactions require approval from a configurable number of team members.

## Creating an Account

Go to **Settings > My Team** and click **Create an account**. The creation flow has 3 steps:

### Step 1: Account Details

* **Account Name** (Required)
* **Description** (Optional)
* **Logo** (Optional)

### Step 2: Members & Threshold

* **Members:** Select team members who can sign transactions. Your account is auto-included and cannot be removed. Only team members with Admin, Owner, or Reviewer roles can be added as signers. Read [Team Management](/docs/settings/team-management.md) to know more about role-based control.
* **Threshold:** How many approvals are needed to execute a transaction (e.g., 2 of 3 means any 2 members must sign before a transaction goes through)

> All selected members must have logged into Qash at least once before they can be added to a multisig account.

Don't know how to add member? Check [here](/docs/settings/team-management.md)

### Step 3: Review & Confirm

Review your account name, members, and threshold, then confirm. The account is created on-chain and ready to use.

## Managing Accounts

Once created, you can manage your accounts in the sidebar or setting page.

## Multiple Accounts

You can create multiple accounts for different purposes, for example, a main treasury account with a higher threshold and an operations account for day-to-day payments with a lower threshold.

## Next Steps

Once your account is created, you can:

* [Claim test tokens](/docs/getting-started/faucet.md) from the faucet
* [Create invoices](/docs/payments/invoicing.md) for your clients
* Pay [bill](https://qash.gitbook.io/docs/payments/bills)
